Whether you are visiting London for the weekend or during the week for work, you definitely want to ensure you have a proper breakfast. Did you know that a full English breakfast consists of fried eggs, back bacon, black sausage, roasted tomatoes, fried mushrooms, baked beans and toast? If you want to know more, see here for the history of the English Breakfast. While you may not feel like having a proper English Breakfast, here is my favorite places to have a delicious breakfast before hitting the city.
As soon as you open the door, you know you are in a special place. You are welcomed by it’s high ceilings and at the very center… a table full of croissants, pains au chocolats, cannelés and freshly baked bread. You can choose healthy options ranging from their freshly squeezed juices (green glow or turmeric) to their already sliced grapefruit halves. Or, if you a hearty eater, go for their eggs Benedict, fresh toasts or their 10 cms high pancakes with red fruits.

Situated in the hidden alley of Neal’s Yard, it’s a small but oh so cozy little place. Go there for their most original granola and lunches with seasonal produce. You cannot book a table in advance, so I recommend you get there early and if you are having lunch in, use the click and collect form. For the link with all the details, click here: 26 grains
Did you know that this place used to be the first purpose-built firehouse in London back in 1889? It is now a hotel and private club. The have a beautiful British decor and a gorgeous private terrace to enjoy a nice breakfast. From white truffle scrambled eggs to buttermilk pancakes, they have all you need to start your day perfectly! Please do not leave before trying their amazing pain au chocolat. My #1 in London so far! Although it is not easy to book for a table in the evenings or on the weekends, they usually have space for breakfast. For more details: The Chiltren Firehouse
Simply beautiful. From their rose dust sofas to their mint waters on the table, each details as been carefully thought through. In terms of decoration…but the menu is just as beautiful too. Whether you go all in for the Kahvalti including halloumi with honey, filo pastry, beetroot borani, feta and marinated olives… or you choose their spectacular French toast. You will have no regret. Plus, the locations is perfect to visit Notting Hill, Holland Park or Hyde Park. Here is a little sneak peek of their delish menu for: Beam Notting Hill
