Do you every try the recipes on the back of the packets? I never do… except for this one that was inspired from the wholemeal flour packet! After 3 tentatives and some tweaks, here is a recipe that is so simple you can make it the same morning!
- 500g of Wholemeal Flour
- 7g of dried yeast
- 50g of sunflower seeds
- 1½ tsp of sea salt
- 175 ml of milk
- 175 ml of water
Preheat the oven at 220C. Warm milk and water until tepid temperature and blend in yeast to activate it.
In bowl, mix flour, sunflower seeds and salt. Gently pour the milk mixture to make a soft dough. With a mixed or by hand on a lightly floured surface, knead for 10 min.
Shape into 8 little balls and let it rise in a warm area of the kitchen for 45 minutes. Brush with milk and sprinkle with flour. Place in oven for 12-15 minutes until slightly golden. Let it cool on a wire rack.
